Computer Science Masters Students
Computer Science Masters students can take advantage of several courses in Bioinformatics which do not require any biological background, but provide training and background in bioinformatics. These courses can be used to satisfy the requirements for the Computer Science Masters degree. Many Masters students have utilized these courses to move into the research area of Bioinformatics. These courses include:

Computer Science 221 – Introduction to Bioinformatics
Computer Science 222 – Algorithms in Bioinformatics and Systems Biology
Computer Science 224 – Computational Genetics
Computer Science 229 – Current Topics in Bioinformatics

Please note that the Computer Science Masters program and the Bioinformatics Ph.D. program are distinct graduate programs. Information for admission to the Computer Science Masters program is here.
